What documents do I need to rent a place in El Salvador?

It's easier than you think. Here are the basic requirements:

• A valid driver's license or passport if you are a foreign national.
• Proof of income — this can be an ISSS pay stub, a letter from your employer, or a bank statement.
• Proof of income showing earnings of at least 2.5 times the rent amount.
• Personal or business references, as requested by the landlord.

Can I rent a place in El Salvador as a foreigner?

Yes! You can rent with your valid passport. If you have a temporary residence permit, make sure it hasn't expired. The rest of the process is the same for everyone: find your property on Propi and schedule your visit through the listing.

Does the monthly rent include utilities?
